Donor Security FAQ

One of the core values of the CAFE, Org. community is that giving should be a fun, personally fulfilling and - most of all - a safe experience.

At CAFE, Org. we've worked hard to create a community where you can genuinely enjoy the giving process without having to worry about whether or not an applicant has been truthful about his or her situation.

This FAQ sheet details the steps we take to ensure that the applications for assistance we've received have been made in good faith and to safeguard the gifts of our donors.

  1. Does CAFE actually validate each qualified application it receives?

  2. What documentation does CAFE require its applicants to provide?

  3. What does CAFE do with the documentation it receives?

  4. What other steps does CAFE take to prevent applications made in bad faith from going forward in CAFE evaluation process?

  5. At what stage of the application process does CAFE screen applications in this way?

  6. What action does CAFE take when it discovers that an application has not been placed in good faith?

  7. How effective are CAFE’s controls against applications made in bad faith?

  8. I have a safety-related question or concern not answered here. Can someone answer that question for me?
